Psychological Services

We all experience times in our lives when we find ourselves struggling with our issues as individuals, spouses, parents, employees, students, and members of extended family – at home, in social situations, or at work. We try our best to handle these situations and move on. Sometimes, however, we find that, despite our efforts, we need additional resources to guide us and to help us develop ways to understand, cope with and/or resolve these problems. It makes sense to seek professional help when the particular situation or relationship: remains challenging and is beginning to interfere with your daily living; is compromising your health or adjustment; or renders your life less happy or satisfying. In other words, professional help might be beneficial if the “too”s are undermining your life; you — or your family member – are too angry, too controlling, too sad, too anxious, too fearful, too distracted, too overwhelmed, too unproductive, too restless, too hyper, too accommodating or “too” anything else.

We offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, we provide couples and family therapy, along with parent guidance. Our areas of expertise include: developmental issues (such as, toileting, sleeping, separation anxiety, behavior management, transitions to new places or situations); anxiety; depression; relationship issues; mourning and loss; life changes; psychological/personality assessment. Our specialties in Educational Services and Divorce-Related Services are described elsewhere on this website.

Therapy requires a good match between the individual or couple and the therapist. We look forward to meeting you and working together to development the best plan to address your issues.
